• Why is Emeriti making these changes?

  Emeriti regularly evaluates the program to ensure retirees continue to have access to high-quality, affordable health coverage. The 2027 changes strengthen the program by providing a more consistent experience for participants nationwide and supporting the long-term value of the Emeriti benefit.

• When is Open Enrollment?

  Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage runs October 15 through December 7, 2026.

• Are my Medicare plan options changing?

  The Aetna Group Retiree Plan Sponsored by Emeriti will offer updated Aetna Medicare Advantage plan options for 2027. Details about the available plans and benefits will be included in your Open Enrollment materials.

  If you are currently enrolled in one of the plans below and do not make a change during Open Enrollment, you will automatically be enrolled in the corresponding 2027 plan indicated in the table.

• What does national pricing mean?

  Beginning in 2027, Medicare Advantage plans available through the program will use a national pricing structure rather than rates that vary by geographic region. In addition, all Medicare Advantage plans will include an Extended Service Area (ESA). The Extended Service Area gives participants access to providers nationwide, including more than 1.3 million network providers and 4,200 network hospitals, making it easier to access care when traveling or living in different locations throughout the year.

• What does it mean that prescription drug coverage will be separate?

  Starting January 1, 2027, your coverage will be provided through two separate plans: one for medical coverage and one for prescription drug coverage. Prescription drug coverage will be administered through Aetna Medicare Rx^® offered by SilverScript^®, and you will receive a separate prescription drug ID card in addition to your medical plan ID card.

• Do I need to take action?

  Most participants do not need to take any action.

  As Open Enrollment approaches, Emeriti and Aetna will provide additional information about your 2027 coverage options. Please watch for and review these materials carefully.

  If you choose not to make a change during Open Enrollment, your coverage will automatically transition to the corresponding 2027 plan, where applicable.
